Apparently the first attempt didn’t go over well with the board, so here’s the second attempt.

I could definitely use a stack of the “I am right, you are wrong” cards. What a fabulous way to tell someone they’re wrong, or that you are… I guess…

I’m a sucker for stop-motion music videos, and drawing… this is a great combo of both. Autumn Story from Firekites’ album ‘The Bowery’. Co-directed by Yanni Kronenberg and Lucinda Schreiber

Photographer Peter Funch makes these amazing photos by taking many photos in one location during the day and creating a mash-up around a theme. Commuters yawning, people walking their dogs, Times Square tourists, they all make up city life and this is a really cool way to show it.

mig-reyes-buraka-som-sistema-poster

Kick ass new poster from Mig Reyes for Buraka Som Sistema (+others) at Sonotheque in Chicago. Mig hails from Chicago and is one of the best young designers out there. No doubt you’ll see his work again.

Nice to see this video, shot in the Kent State letterpress studio, getting some attention. Featuring designer Mikey Burton, shot by Joshua Gerken, this video shows the process of creating a two-color letterpress poster. No polymer plates here, all metal/wood type from KSU’s extensive collection. Be sure to check out Mike’s portfolio too, just excellent stuff.

Tiny Gigantic has a nice piece about design’s role in the world. I always struggle with where I sit on the fence, and it’s nice to read others’ opinions on the matter.

Seems like someone, somewhere, is always having that old (and super annoying) conversation about the meaning of design. I had it again a few nights ago…

faces-in-places

Ran across a cool little blog called Faces in Places consisting of, well, faces in places. It’s cool to see such a wide variety. Apparently faces are everywhere.
