Struggle Inc. is the chicago-based commercial art house of Cody Hudson. He describes his aesthetic as “part urban modernism and part organic visual deconstruction” and I think he hits the nail on the head. Be sure to check out his personal work too, it’s equally colorful and fascinating.

Update: Found a studio tour/interview with Cody here.

She has a great collection of photos with stunning color and light and I highly recommend a little trip over to her flickr stream to get some color in your life. This overcast grey sky is really getting to me! Check her photos out here.

mi_060Birds20RoyalMail12GiveMeFive0Amazing illustration work from Leandro Castelao. His projects remind me so much of an exercise we did in school using basic elements and shapes to create forms, except his illustrations far surpass the solutions I came up with! See more of his portfolio of work here.

These one-of-a-kind Nomad Flyers (yes, that’s how they spelled it) by artists Alain and Odille Pecheux are made of found/vintage fabric with papier mache and driftwood. If they weren’t so expensive, I’d love one of these adorable little guys on my windowsill. Available from Anthropologie.

Picture 1Picture 2Picture 3Fantastic file folders from Knock Knock that I think I need for my own desk. One of my favorites is “I wish I could eat this immediately.” Buy 6 for only $9 here and check out more of their fun work related pieces, too!

I stumbled across the photographer Brian Ulrich. First off I love the work beacuse of the simple beauty of forms and for the minimalist nature. Every image has distinct lighting that gives them great moods. For those of you from the Akron / Canton area, there are some images that you will know (above image is from Rolling Acres Mall). Overall it is a great series, his other work is also great, check it out.
