I’m officially old. Nickelodeon, the channel I spent a vast majority of my childhood watching, has announced a new identity that will debut this fall. The iconic splat is gone and I don’t know how I feel about it. It feels like I was robbed of what little bit of childhood I had left. Maybe I am going through a Quarterlife Crisis afterall.
Read about the redesign here.

How terribly sad. That’s a pretty bad redesign in general, but yeah, it feels like part of my childhood has gone away.
I guess we should be honest, ‘our’ Nickelodeon has been dead for years. The shit they run now is an embarrassment to the original programming they had when we were tikes.
Oh well. We’ll always have Pete & Pete on DVD. Continue to prey they release Salute Your Shorts on DVD.
