Check out this typeface called Adhesive Nr. Seven. The idea was to take a blackletter typeface out of its tainted historical context by recreating its texture with contemporary tools. With its fixed stroke thickness adhesive paper tape offers similar characteristics as a broad pen.
This is a really cool way to produce a typeface, and pretty well executed. You can purchase Adhesive Nr. Seven at myfonts.com.

sharon would know this, but for those who don’t have a wonderful typodarium calendar sitting on their desk…that is where this awesome find is from. way to forget ricky ;)

yes! it was just up the other day! oh and also we used this font for a few Blue Jackets pieces last year and had to stop using it because it was “unreadable.” Moved to Wickenberg instead. It was great while it lasted!

Omg I can’t believe you worked with the bluejackets, I visit that site everyday and I’m watching their game tonight! How did you get to work with them?

I actually work for them now. Saw the job on one of the design group’s (CSCA) in Columbus job board and applied. I got a lucky break! :)

Wow that’s so awesome. Do you know if they usually do internships? I still have 2.5 years until I’m at that point though.
