This September marks the one year anniversary and fifth TDP posting (We realize – we may have abused our posting privileges) of Good Fucking Design Advice a collaborative project between TDP contributors, Brian Buirge and Jason Bacher. To celebrate this momentous occasion, they’ve released a feature video on their newly redesigned site “Getting Shit Done: The Passion Behind G.F.D.A.”
G.F.D.A originally started as a humorous side project while in graduate school and his since has taken off. During its first year G.F.D.A. released a series of products designed to inspire the masses including desktop wallpapers, shirts, posters, coffee mugs and buttons. As the six-month mark came around, they determined that the workload of site (in addition to their other responsibilities) had become too great and thus the two hired their first intern, Eric Courtney, for the summer of 2011.

The first year of G.F.D.A. was about taking chances, realizing opportunities, discovering passion, and hard work. Looking forward, Brian and Jason wish to continue what they’ve started, providing opportunities to motivated, passionate individuals, inspiring them to be fearless in their approach and tenacious in their design pursuits.
G.F.D.A. would like to thank their many supporters and those who continue to make the site worth the effort. It’s the passion of the others that makes this all worth while. They would also like thank The Donut Project for letting them shamelessly self-promote.

Now that’s just awesome. I finally get to see the guys behind GFDA! I’m hella jealous of the intern though, what a fucking awesome job that must be.
