I don’t particularly like the font either but, as a teacher, it’s one of the few fonts that have a lower case ‘a’ that looks like a printed a. (circle and a stick) this is really important when teaching small children to read. The other letter that often causes problems is g.

Hmm, that’s an interesting point ddreger, and I’d say an appropriate use of this typeface. Much of the rage against the typeface by designers is in it’s blatant misuse EVERYWHERE, but if it helps to teach children how to form/read letters, I guess Comic Sans isn’t all bad! Just make sure those kiddies don’t start typing papers in it down the road :)
