The Hamilton Wood Type Catalog #14 is 125 pages of both classic and surprisingly iconic fonts, figures, icons and imagery. It’s so full of great inspiration and I plan on spending my evening flipping through the 90+ pages I didn’t make it through this morning. I used to run into a lot of problems finding good inspiration for vintage type and type treatments while in school and usually found a few labels, but nothing like this. If only I had ffffound this earlier!
Part of the Wood Type Museum on Unicorn Graphics, you can search through even more fantastic type books and actual type pieces as well. Enjoy the book here and the full catalog wood type here. Let the inspiration begin!

This so reminds me of the Flashfest the 13th poster Rick made! Love it.

Wow some of those numbers are fantastic! I actually love the way the worn cover with the tape looks: the colors.
Not to be cheesy but have you seen my and my friend’s book? “Handy Book of Artistic Printing…” –all about decorative 19th century letterpress printing. (Just not wood type! sorry!) Might give some more inspiration.
