When a trailer for Linotype: The Film was released a while back, we were quick to share it. Now the guys behind the movie are busy filming and using Kickstarter to help fund the rest of the project.
In the next 30 days they are hoping to raise $8,000 to finish the movie.
If you’re not familiar with the Kickstarter model, it’s a place where you can fund projects you’re interested in seeing come to fruition. You pledge any amount of money, and the money is only exchanged hands if/when the project reaches its goal. If it doesn’t, you don’t pay anything and it just goes away.
Linotype has a few different pledge levels which include letterpressed posters, copies of the DVD, t-shirts, actual lines of lead type, and other goodies. Head over to Kickstarter and pledge even just a few bucks to help finish this film, or check out their website (www.linotypefilm.com) to stay up to speed on the progression of the movie.

I got an email today saying that the filmmakers have met their goal and the movie has been successfully funded. I can’t wait to see it!
