Twitter.com is everyone’s favorite or most-hated social network. Today, they announced a major redesign of the site.

The redesign seems to center on bringing the UI more inline with how people use Twitter today. The way people use the site has evolved since the inception, and a site redesign was overdue.

The social connections, page loading/scrolling, and media embedding have all been reimagined for the site. There’s no doubt Twitter would like to make the web experience as great as many third-party applications. Creating a better website mixed with their recent attempts at advertising should give Twitter the chance to become a profitable company.
