Panda + Poodle = Pandoodle?

What do you get when you shape and color your poodle to look like a panda bear? These dogs are all participants in ‘creative grooming’ shows across the US. It just takes a little hairdye, sheering, and a patient dog to transform normal poodles into miniature horses, buffaloes, and whatever else you can imagine in around two hours.
All dogs are photographed by Ren Netherland, the only professional photographer allowed to shoot these dogs on behalf of their organizers.
These really aren’t design related, but they’re too bizarre not to share. Read the full article and see many more photos of these dogs. The news article also contains many comments of people wondering is this constitutes animal abuse. I think while bizarre, it’s not abusive, what’s your opinion?

not abusive…I mean, have you seen that website with the pictures of people with painted cats? I think that’s a little weirder. this isn’t much more strange than just taking your pup for a regular haircut. I like the steelers one :)

I HAVE LOOOOVED THE ATTENTION AND PAMPERING WHEN I WAS AT THE SHOW. I CALL MY GROOMER AUNT KAREN AND SPEND EVERY MONDAY WITH HER PLAYING WITH MY FRIENDS ON HER FARM.
