A component of the Metropath(ologies) exhibit, currently on display at the MIT Museum, Personas is really cool visual look at how the internet sees you. It scours the web for information and attempts to characterize the person by fitting them into a predetermined set of categories that an algorithmic process created from a massive corpus of data. Sounds pretty complicated but all you need to do is type in your name.

After trying this myself, I’ve concluded that I’ve done a great job of staying off the grid (or maybe I’m just a big loser) because when I typed my name in ‘no digital traces were found,’ so I used Sharon’s name instead.

Type in your name and see what comes up.
