Project Le Tour is an ongoing photo project for photographer Brent Humphreys who makes the annual trip to France to photograph the most prestigious cycling race in the world, The Tour de France.
The project features photography ranging from excellent close up action photos of the racers, grand landscape photos of the peleton, to some remarkable group and more intimate shots of the fan-demonium that occurs each year. Since I’m a sucker for anything related to the Tour, this was a nice treat to run across.
Check out his site at www.projectletour.com for the entire set.
As a sidenote, be prepared for the site to resize your browser not once, but twice. Also, there is no gallery so you must flip thru the photos at an agonizing pace. If the photos weren’t so good I’d probably post this site as a ‘what-not-to-do-in-webdesign,’ but the photos are worth the hassle this time.
