Shared by every major tech blog under the sun, the Elevation Dock has broken Kickstarter records. It’s a beautifully designed iPhone dock made from a solid block of aluminum, just like your Macbook — is weighted so it doesn’t move when you remove your phone — and fits cases. It’s long been funded — but become a backer and you’ll get one of the first ones, for less than retail.

The video is well made, illustrating why iPhone docks suck and how they solve for it. We need more accessories like this. It’ll come in aluminum, black, & some colors – but why would you’d buy an Apple accessory that doesn’t match the aluminum is beyond me.
