Sahre Victore Wilker 2009

Sahre Victore Wilker Workshop 2009

Paul Sahre, James Victore and Jan Wilker are combining powers and putting on a week-long design workshop in NYC in July. http://sahrevictorewilker.com/

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting each of these design dynamos, “Desynamos“, over the last two years… and each designer lives up to the hype. Two summers ago I took James Victore’s poster workshop through SVA and it was nothing short of life changing. I can’t imagine a workshop with all three of these guys for a week. There is no way you could possibly leave the same designer or person as when you came. If you have $1,100 and a week in July, you owe it to yourself to be there.

Book Book Shelf

Via Design Observer, this book shelf by not tom is made out of old books. This would make a great DIY project.

Zig Zags on Apartment Therapy

Zig Zag Wall

Apartment Therapy has a great post about Mark Chamberlain and his (hand done, freehand) zig zag painted wall. What a gorgeous palette. Anyone have the balls to try this??

It’s Nice That there’s a printed version

One of our favorite blogs, It’s Nice That, has begun publishing a twice-a-year printed version. They have also just released a refreshed Web site design which is nice and clean. Check them out.

One of my favorite illustrators, Pietari Posti of Finland/Spain, never fails to surprise me in his growth and development. M bought me a couple of his prints for my birthday a few years ago and I adore them. Check him out!
