Non-format’s portfolio is sleek, well balanced and experienced in photography, design, type and everything in between. The company is located in Minnesota and London and if you have an hour or two to spend looking at their gorgeous showcase, I’d take the time to do it. It’s truly stunning.

The Daily Monster

Stefan Bucher’s Daily Monster always helps to remind me to have fun with art and especially my illustrations. His series, now available in books and merchandise forms, are appealing, unique and completely Stefan.

FaceOut Books

secret life of cowboys

FaceOut Books features a different book cover/title every Monday, in which the designer discusses their process, failures, initial designs, and final solution to their book-jacket problem. It’s so neat to see the secret evolution of the cover before it hits the shelves—the concepts that would have sat pressed in a book somewhere—given new life and attention.

Bobby Solomon started an on-going project called The Desktop Wallpaper Project and has been posting new desktops every Wednesday for quite some time now. He started the project by writing to all of his favorite artists and designers and asking them to contribute a wallpaper. What he has now is an amazing collection of well-designed and clever backgrounds formated for any screen size and even the iphone. Check out his blog, Kitsune Noir, for the wallpaper project, downloadable mixtapes and other fun stuff.
