Tropicana packaging recalled!
Pepsi is finally responding to the massive amount of complaints about the new Tropicana packaging, introduced in January, and is now recalling the new cartons! YAY YAY YAY!!! The old design is coming back with full force. Full article here. Thanks to my gal Meghan for the tip…her brother is a designer at Sterling Brands and worked on the old carton. I’m sure he’s feeling pretty satisfied right now :)

Carson Ellis
I’ve always loved Carson Ellis’s work…she has a quality of dainty gloominess that links all of her work–from pencil to painting to ink wash. You might recognize her work from the many albums covers she has illustrated for the Decemberists (I actually couldn’t name any titles that she didn’t design). Can’t wait to see what she comes up with for the next one, Hazards of Love, out on March 24.
