Awesome and bizarro, I love Andrea Wan’s work—with her mix of collage, paint and ink doing the visual storytelling. Be sure to check out her site for more.

Check out this awesome short film by Danny Cooke about Sign Writer David A Smith:
David A Smith is a name that has become synonymous in Sign-Writing and Glass gilding circles, with high quality, hand crafted reverse glass signs and decorative silvered and gilded mirrors.
In this short documentary, we reveal behind the scenes work, techniques and visions that Dave uses when carrying out his passion as a glass embosser – One of the few remaining traditional UK glass artists.

This recently released video from IDEO looks at three unique perspectives on digital books. Each one proposes some really interesting ideas that would work in different reading environments. By far, my favorite is ‘Alice’, for its non-linear approach to a story. I’m interested to know people’s opinions on this.

Twitter.com is everyone’s favorite or most-hated social network. Today, they announced a major redesign of the site.
The redesign seems to center on bringing the UI more inline with how people use Twitter today. The way people use the site has evolved since the inception, and a site redesign was overdue.
The social connections, page loading/scrolling, and media embedding have all been reimagined for the site. There’s no doubt Twitter would like to make the web experience as great as many third-party applications. Creating a better website mixed with their recent attempts at advertising should give Twitter the chance to become a profitable company.
Check out the teaser video above to show how the UI looks and feels, and read about the new features at twitter.com/newtwitter.
